It’s been a few years since Jerusalem got some snow.

Thursday evening, home and facebooking… a message pops from Gabi Ben Avraham

~ Gabi – let’s head out to Jerusalem tomorrow morning to catch some snow

~ Me – OK

~ Gabi – let’s meet at 5:30AM in Tel Aviv and head out

5:30AM Friday morning – it’s cold… I meet Gabi and we’re heading to Jerusalem, stopping in Latrun to pick up another friend.

7:00AM and we arrive to Jerusalem. there is some snow leftovers on the road, not what we came for… maybe we’ll get lucky later

Since we didn’t have snow yet, we stopped for coffee and some breakfast at Kadosh Cafe, a veteran establishment for over 40 years were the local patrons offered their suggestions on where to go.

We decided to walk towards Mahane Yehuda Market so we finished our coffee and started walking up Jaffa street as snow started to fall rapidly turning into a mini-blizzard, just what we wished for….

You see, most people when they face a storm they run for cover but not the street photographer…. Street photographers are a unique breed of crazy people who live for these moments, these are the best conditions for hunting the special events in the everyday routine.
