A few days ago I celebrated my birthday, I went out on the street of Tel-Aviv and decided to give you a pick to how I see my world from my point of view.

I have edited the outcome into fast pace clip that will emphasize how fast the street moves in front of me and how fast I need to react.

Enjoy 🙂

Friday, October 5th – Tel-Aviv Israel

Street Gang are honored to present a one-day street photography workshop with New York based, iN-PUBLIC photographer – Richard Bram which will be a unique opportunity to explore the aesthetics and practical techniques of shooting on the street while challenging you to expand and explore your own individual style. Combining theory and in-the-street shooting, this workshop will enable you to put your skills to the test followed by a group review of your best shots.

Bram will be visiting Israel for the International Photography Festival taking place in Jaffa from October 2nd till October 8th. iN-Public will be exhibiting in the festival along side Street Gang in an exhibition curated by Street Gang co-founder – Felix Lupa.

Born in Philadelphia in 1952, Bram grew up in Ohio, Utah and Arizona, where he finished High School, College and Graduate School, earning degrees in Political Science and International Business. A series of lack-lustre jobs led him to Louisville, Kentucky, where, in 1984, he decided to pursue photography full-time as a vocation. he built his early career in public relations, public events, performance and portrait work.

After moving to London in 1997, Bram concentrated on street photography and other personal photographic projects. In July of 2008 he returned to the States and now lives in New York City. His work is in institutional, corporate, and personal collections, including the Museum of London, Bibliothèque Nationale de France and the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography. In 2001 Bram was invited to join iN-PUBLiC Street Photography collective.

Felix Lupa is one of the best street photographers out there and also a co-founder of the street photography collective – Street Gang. Felix wrote a very interesting article about what makes a good photograph. It is a great read and I totally agree with Felix. Read the article HERE.

A remarkable photograph must be a personal, visual report of the subject. It has to be able to tell me, using the photographer personal and unique visual language what the photographer saw and what he felt. For a good photograph it is not enough to just be a visual report, it also has to be a psychological report. It has to transfer to me the emotions and the point of view of the photographer behind the camera.

Although this blog and the Street Gang collective are dedicated to street photography, I find Felix thoughts to be suitable for all genres of photography.
